In 2009, in it's seventh year, the Adobe MAX Awards has been recognized as a global program highlighting innovative uses of Adobe software and technology across a range of applications, from enterprise applications and customer-facing services to rich-media entertainment and social networking.In 2009 competition, more than 450 entries were received from business, creative and application development professionals worldwide. The top 32 entries across all eight categories were identified as finalists by a panel of Adobe judges and industry experts. In an online voting event open from Sept. 28, 2009 through Oct. 6, 2009, the public voted for their favorite finalists. Pocket Travel Assistant (PTA) succeeded in making it into the Semi-Finalist round of judging in Adobe MAX 2009 awards. This annual global awards event recognizes the best uses of Adobe software for creating engaging experiences. Although it did not move onto the Finalist round – for me this was still something to be very proud of, as approximately 10 % of the entries only made it to this level.
