Short Movies & Animation
I enjoy making short films and animations because I believe the small things around us can have a big impact on our lives. Film, with its storytelling magic, lets us explore these moments and learn something new. That's why I've always wanted to create films that help us see life in a positive way, lifting us up emotionally and giving us something to think about. For me, it's all about finding meaning in the everyday and sharing that with others.

"Cleanliness Begins at Home" is a short film I directed in 2016 with a simple yet important message: children learn by watching their elders, and our actions directly influence the future generation. The idea behind this film came from my observation that environmental responsibility begins at home, quite literally.
The film follows a young boy, played by my son Abhinav, who imitates his grandfather’s daily routines—working out, shaving, and even saving money. But when the boy sees his grandfather littering, he copies that behavior too, throwing garbage onto the floor to point out the irony. It’s a wake-up call for the grandfather, who realizes how his bad habit affects not only the environment but also his grandson. The film ends with both of them cleaning up, symbolizing that keeping our surroundings clean is a collective responsibility, whether inside our homes or out in the world.
Although it’s only four minutes long, the film conveys a strong environmental message, aligning with the Swachh Bharat initiative. It might feel amateurish at times due to some camera movements, but the heart of the story and its simple narrative resonate, especially with children. The soundtrack, "Lonely Child" by We is Shore Dedicated, added an unexpected charm to the film, perfectly capturing the boy's curiosity.
I’ve always believed in the power of visual storytelling, and this project was an attempt to convey that even small actions can have a significant impact. The film was recognized at various festivals, including the Indie Fest Films Awards and the Sawach Bharat Short Film Festival. For me, it was a meaningful project that highlighted how we, as adults, need to be mindful of the examples we set for the younger generation.
